The Vision

When it comes to interior design, every project starts with a vision. Our team at Kimberly Ann's Designs Studio understands the importance of balancing style, functionality, and the client's unique preferences. In the case of this 1980s Dallas home, the goal was to create a space that embraced the home's architectural character while infusing it with a touch of Los Angeles glamour.

Preserving the Past

Before diving into the redesign, we made sure to assess the original elements that made this home special. The distinct architectural features, such as the vaulted ceilings and large windows, served as a foundation for our design approach. Instead of erasing its 1980s charm, we aimed to enhance it.

Embracing Modernity

A Los Angeles designer's touch brought a fresh perspective to this Dallas home. We incorporated modern design elements, such as sleek furniture, clean lines, and curated art pieces, to create a harmonious blend of styles. The infusion of natural light and open spaces ensured a seamless transition from the past to the present.

Design Elements

In this project, we focused on every aspect of the home, from the entryway to the bedrooms. Our attention to detail allowed us to curate a cohesive design narrative that flowed effortlessly within each room.

Entrance

The first impression matters, and our goal was to create an entrance that exuded elegance. We achieved this by incorporating a statement chandelier, a custom-designed console table, and carefully selected artwork that set the tone for the entire home.

Living Room

The living room served as a gathering space, and we wanted to make it inviting yet sophisticated. Plush velvet sofas, designer accent chairs, and a curated collection of coffee table books offered a cozy and refined atmosphere. The use of warm color palettes and strategically placed lighting created an ambiance that was both welcoming and visually striking.

Kitchen

The kitchen underwent a complete transformation, becoming a culinary haven. With high-end appliances, custom cabinetry, and luxurious quartz countertops, this space seamlessly blended functionality and style. The incorporation of a large kitchen island allowed for both cooking and entertaining, making it the heart of the home.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom was designed to provide a serene retreat for the homeowners. Soft, neutral tones, plush bedding, and carefully selected lighting fixtures created an atmosphere of tranquility. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, bringing the outdoors inside.
